Quantitative super-resolution microscopy

New imaging methods, rigorous resolution assessment, and open access to advanced microscopy.

I developed a laser-free approach to localisation microscopy, established correlative STED and single-molecule localisation imaging on the same sample, and helped identify UV-induced photoconversion of common DNA dyes.

More recently, I have developed structure-based approaches for evaluating localisation precision and the biological interpretability of MINFLUX data. This work is closely linked to my advocacy for open hardware, reproducible analysis, and accessible microscopy.
